THIS WEEK, my wife Annabel Venning will be part of a convoy that will be driving urgently-needed medical supplies from Britain to Ukraine.
The operation is being organised by World Extreme Medicine, and the inventory will consist of a massive amount of lifesaving equipment and supplies, including lightweight stretchers to prevent tissue and organ damage during a rapid evacuation, broad-spectrum antibiotics to prevent post-battlefield infection, and trauma boxes for clinicians dealing with traumatic injuries.
This shall be the second convoy organised by the company, and while all the operational costs are met by them, the medical supplies are paid for by generous donors, and the drivers will of course be donating their time for free.
In order to help, I’m going to make a donation of £5 for every yearly subscription taken out to Walt’s World resulting from this post, and a donation of £15 for every Founding Member subscription resulting from this post.
If you are already a paid subscriber (hooray!), or if you would just like to donate directly, you can do so here.
If you’re not a position to help financially, then do please consider using whatever capital you have on social media to big up World Extreme Medicine, either on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. The hashtag to use is #Medics4Ukraine.
Whatever way you help, I have no doubt that Annabel and the team will be enormously grateful – so thank you in advance!
Good luck Annabel & team.
Good luck Annabel, and well done!
